Evan Andrews
Primary Associate and Art / Mindfulness Teacher
Evan Andrews began teaching in 2012 and boasts experiences from an epic variety of schools, from Montessori to Neo-Humanist, to traditional public schools and beyond, as well as a Bachelor's in Art Practices and a Master’s in Teaching.
Evan has written a curriculum for new programming at CMS and set up the Atelier for teaching art and mindfulness to the Primary students, following the Reggio Emilia approach in which the children are active in their learning and enjoy discovering themselves through creativity.
Originally from Baton Rouge, Evan has enjoyed traveling and living in other exciting places, having spent considerable time on both the West and East coasts before returning to New Orleans to put down roots. Time outside of school is spent making ambient music, befriending animals, and searching for the best vegan food in town.
