Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is comprised of nine elected members each serving for a 3-year term, on a staggered basis. The board’s primary responsibilities are to manage and control the property, business and affairs of the school. Members are dedicated to ensuring that Cathedral Montessori remains true to its mission and generously serve the school without renumeration.

  • Marques J. Celestine, II

    Marques J Celestine, II’s career includes management, analysis, business development and consulting roles across the globe with companies including Merck, Wells Fargo and Cargill. Through the Japanese Cabinet Office, he served as a delegate for cultural and economic exchange. He currently leads Jackson Noble, an Executive Search and Professional Consulting organization. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with degrees in Finance and Japanese and spent a year of immersive study at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan. He has been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for over 15 years, was elected as the youngest member on the Cargill Cares Volunteer Council, served as a mentor to college students through the Alan Page Education Foundation and sent numerous inner-city youth on educational trips across the world through the Why Can’t I Go Foundation. He also served on the Board of Directors for San Miguel Middle School in Minneapolis, MN.

  • Petros Christakis

    Petros Christakis is the Assistant Executive Director for Auxiliary Enterpirses at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. In this role, Petros works to provide a diversity of services directly or by managing vendor contracts to enhance the University experience for students, staff, faculty and campus visitors.

  • Dr. Cornelia Koniditsiotis

    Cornelia has loved her career as a speech-language pathologist, specializing in helping preschool and early elementary-aged children. She has taught in universities, been a consultant to our local hospitals, written articles, as well as worked in public and private schools, while also being in private practice. Cornelia is originally from Memphis, TN, has been married to her husband John (from Sparta, Greece) since 1970, and has lived in Metairie ever since. They have two terrific sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and three fantastic grandchildren. Cornelia received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Alabama, and her Ph.D. from the University of New Orleans. Her involvement in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral has included serving on the Board of Trustees as treasurer, Sunday School Director, as well as president of Holy Trinity PTA, Philoptochos, and Daughters of Penelope. Cornelia enjoys participating in the Greek Festival, Cathedral organizations’ pastry workshops and sales, as well as baking Greek pastries at home. You can even find her on YouTube! She adores children.

  • Gail Psilos

    Gail retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as a Director for Regional Economic Information Network for monetary policy. She was responsible for gathering economic input from business leaders, community leaders, community groups, and nonprofit organizations from across the Gulf South to paint a broader picture of the economy than can be captured with data and statistics alone. This information provided a more holistic picture of the economy, putting Main Street perspectives on the table during monetary policy conversations. During her tenure at the Federal Reserve, Gail served as Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors. Gail was part of Alan Greenspan’s team for financial education; after Hurricane Katrina, was a team leader, instrumental in putting together the Bank’s disaster recovery procedures. She served as chairman of the Bank’s art committee. She served on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Council on Economic Education, and the Mississippi Council on Economic Education. She was trained in economics and monetary policy by the University of Chicago’s Booth School professors on staff at the Federal Reserve. Gail lectured on the Federal Reserve and economics of monetary policy at LSU, Dillard, Xavier, Tulane, Loyola, UNO, Ole Miss, University of So. Mississippi, University of Alabama, Mobile. In her early years, Gail was the lead Montessori Teacher at University Montessori School. She studied early childhood education at Montclair State University and primary education at St. Nicholas Montessori College, London, England. She taught Sunday School for 25 years at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and has served as co-Chair of the annual Greek Festival for the past 14 years She was a member of the Junior League of New Orleans and served on the executive committee, and the Association of Junior Leagues International. Gail is married, has two Montessori educated sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law and eight terrific grandchildren.

  • Barbara Stavis Wolf



    Barbara Stavis Wolf is a Louisiana insurance defense litigation attorney and a member of the American, Federal, Louisiana and 22nd Judicial District Bar Associations, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and has served on the Louisiana Bar Association House of Delegates. Barbara is a life-long member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in New Orleans, having served as President of the Community in 2016 and 2017 and served on the Board of Trustees in 2006-07, 2015-2018 and has been re-elected to serve on the Board in 2020, having previously also served as Secretary and Treasurer on the Board. She served as Co-Chairman of the historic 150th Anniversary Celebration of Holy Trinity in 2014. She has been the International President in 2009 of the Daughters of Penelope, affiliate of the Order of AHEPA, served on the Daughters of Penelope National Board 2003-2008, served as Daughters of Penelope District Governor for two terms and local Chapter President 6 different times. She is a current member of the Board of the Philoptochos Elpis Chapter, and has previously served in the Church Choir and as a Youth Advisor. Barbara is a graduate of Newcomb College of Tulane University and Loyola Law School in New Orleans.

  • Brandon Skaff

    Brandon Skaff was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. He attended Denison University and earned a BA in architecture and economics and a Master of Architecture from Tulane School of Architecture in New Orleans. After graduating from Tulane in 2002, he joined the workforce in Architecture and Construction Management in several cities including Nashville, Charlotte, Las Vegas, Tampa and ultimately back to New Orleans again in 2010. Since returning to New Orleans in 2010 he has been heavily involved in the design and construction industries in planning for new custom homes, pre-K schools, university buildings, medical facilities or high-end hotels. Brandon is a proud member and son of founding members of the St. Andrew Orthodox church in Lexington and had the privilege of helping a mission organization successfully grow as an Eastern Orthodox Church community. In 2011 Brandon married his wife Amy, a New Orleans native and member of the Roman Catholic church. He has two daughters who share a balanced membership between the Orthodox and Catholic churches. For the past 13 years Brandon has been a member of the Holy Trinity Cathedral and shares his gifts with the church and its community.

  • Kris Diane McGee

    Kris Diane McGee grew up in New Orleans as an active member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She graduated from the University of Virginia and Tulane University School of Law. Kris Diane practiced law in Washington, D.C. for the law firm Vinson & Elkins. She moved to Houston after marrying her husband, Richard, and worked as in house counsel for a computer consulting company. After retiring from law, Kris Diane has been very involved at Annunciation Orthodox School (“AOS”), an independent school that is affiliated with Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral (“AGOC”) in Houston. She has served in a variety of roles for AOS, including 11 years as a member of the Board of Trustees (serving as Board Chair from 2018-2022), co-chair of the most recent capital campaign, chair of the building committee for the construction of a new lower school and chair of the Search Committee for a new Head of School in 2017. Kris Diane has also been involved on the boards of the Houston Ballet and the AGOC Ladies Philoptochos Society, and has taught Sunday School and Greek Festival dancing at AGOC for many years. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, learning and spending time with her four children and extended family

  • Alex Juneau

    Alex Juneau is an emergency veterinarian at Metairie Small Animal Hospital, where he has been practicing for 6 years. He received his Bachelor of Animal Science at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University. He moved to Las Vegas with his wife and practiced medicine there for 3 years before moving back to his hometown of New Orleans. He enjoys gardening and carpentry and sharing these skills with the community. His son Walden has been at CMS for two years.

  • Maria Zissis

    María Georgia Zissis is the Director of Shaya Tavi Restaurants for BRG Hospitality. She comes from a deep-rooted lineage of hospitality. Maria is responsible for opening Shaya and Tavi restaurants regionally, implementing and attaining fiscal policy, and creating operational teams while upholding James Beard Award-winning culinary and hospitality standards.

    Born and raised in New Orleans. Maria was born into the Greek Orthodox Religion and raised within Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She is a product of Montessori learning.

    Maria enjoys the Arts, especially music. She is a mother of 2 children who are following Montessori teachings. When she is not working Maria is enjoying the beach with her family.
