Dominick Lizardo
Primary Teacher

Dominick was born and raised in Metairie Louisiana. He has worked in private schools for the last 13 years working the front desk, directing summer and holiday camps, as well as working in the classroom with children ranging from 6 months to 12th grade. He was a Ministry Assistant running the school front office of 400 students for a couple of years. After that, he went on to be the Executive Assistant to his Pastor and from there returned to school to finish his early childhood degree. In May 2020, Dominick received his degree in Care and Development of Young Children (birth to kindergarten). He began working at Crescent City Montessori School as a classroom teacher in the fall of 2019. He continued with Crescent City Montessori as a classroom teacher until the school closed in May of 2022. Dominick joined the faculty and staff at Cathedral as a classroom teacher in the summer of 2022. He is currently the lead teacher in the Oak Primary classroom.

Dominick loves to travel, especially anywhere with a beach, go for walks, drink iced coffee, spend time with family and friends, and go anywhere he can to find and eat a good dessert!

Although a traditionally trained early childhood teacher, Dominick has 5 years of invaluable Montessori experience. He has gained such a love and respect for the Montessori Method of guiding and teaching young children and is pursuing his Montessori lead teacher certification in early childhood.
