Susie Mazier
Assistant Teacher, Lower Elementary
Susie is happily married and a proud mom of two wonderful children. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of New Orleans and worked in banking as a Relationship Specialist in the Trust Department, then as an Internal Auditor, and in real estate before discovering her true passion—teaching.
Her love for education began at home when she taught both her son and daughter to read by the age of three. By kindergarten, they were already reading at a third-grade level. Wanting to give them a learning environment that matched their curiosity and abilities, Susie chose Montessori education. Both children attended Audubon Charter School, where Susie also began her own Montessori journey as an Assistant Teacher in Lower Elementary.
Now with nine years of classroom experience, Susie brings a wealth of Montessori training and a deep love for working with children to CMS. She is dedicated to helping each child learn and grow at their own pace.
Currently, Susie’s son is a senior at NYU and her daughter is a sophomore at Tulane—achievements she credits to the strong foundation of Montessori education. Susie is excited to continue sharing the Montessori philosophy with the children and families of CMS while supporting each child’s growth and success..
