Margaret Broussard
Assistant Teacher
Margaret Broussard is a retired teacher of 34 years teaching Pre K-5th grades in Jefferson Parish Public School System, and 1 year Kindergarten in Orleans Public School System. Most of Margaret's experiences have been teaching students in traditional classroom settings, as well as students with special needs.
Since retirement, Margaret has been substituting in various Christian and private schools from PreK-5th of which I have enjoyed.
In March 2023, I began substituting at Cathedral Montessori. Margaret has been finding the difference from traditional teaching to Montessori teaching enlightening and rewarding. I have enjoyed working with the faculty, staff, and students. I am endeavored to learn more about the Montessori Approach to teaching/learning and also eager to assist in helping with the students in their classroom setting.
Upon graduating from Xavier University, Margaret earned a B.A. degree in Elementary Education, M.A. degree in Learning Disabled, from UNO, plus 30 in NonCategorical Preschool Handicapped ( ages 3-5yrs. with special needs). Margaret is excited and looking forward to having a successful year assisting with the students with Mr. Dominick in the Oak classroom.
