This will be a 3-part parent education series, 45-minutes each session, each focusing on a different area of the Montessori Upper Elementary curriculum: Language, Math, and Cultural Studies. Parents can expect brief summaries of works with opportunities to receive lessons in each area - experience Montessori the way your child does, as the parent becomes the student! In Math, I'll demonstrate how students move more swiftly from the concrete Montessori manipulatives towards abstraction. We'll explore numeracy and fact mastery, decimal fractions, fraction equivalency, squaring and cubing. We'll also bridge to exciting connections with geometry.
